A dog pulling on a lead can ruin your walk. It can cause long term medical issues for both the dog and the handler. It makes daily exercise into a battle. However walking on a loose lead isn’t natural for your dog. They use their nose to take in the scents as we use our eyes to take in the scenery. A walk wearing a blindfold wouldn’t be the same. Dogs need to sniff, but it needs to be under control.
This short course is part of our online training scheme and comprises of 6 videos to help train your dog not to pull. These videos can be watched as frequently as you like at a time to suit you.
The videos cover how to your dog to walk to heel, as well as a more relaxed leisure mode. There is a whole section on how to handle distractions and keeping your dog calm.
The short course covers a technique to change the way you dog walks on the lead from the next time you take them out, but requires lots of practice and consistency from everyone who walks your dog to get reliable loose lead walking.
